This course provides a general overview of human psychology with special emphasis given to emotion. It begins with laying a foundation of psychology intertwined with critical thinking. Areas of study include the brain and human development, learning and memory, motivation and emotion, personality, psychological disorders and associated common therapies. This course discusses basic psychological concepts focusing on improving the quality of life thereby strengthening the ability to perceive, control and evaluate emotions of self and others.
